All of my therapy sessions take place online and last for approximately 90 minutes. Online sessions work just as well as face-to-face sessions; I have clients in 28 countries around the world and working online on Zoom is extremely effective.
What is Regression Therapy?
To regress simply means to go back into the past in our thoughts, which means that regression is a totally natural process as we all regress every day whenever we think about the past.
Regression in hypnosis means to go back into the past, to uncover and release the traumas in the past that are causing the issues we are suffering from, in our present lifetime.
Often, as a result of this we gain a greater awareness of our present life too. The traumas in the past that are holding us back are in 3 areas: this present lifetime; past lives; our ancestor’s lives.
Some of my clients in their sessions explore just one of those areas, others experience two or all three. Your subconscious knows where we need to work in order to heal your issues, and it has a desperate need for you to be healthy and well. It has an awesome wisdom and keeps you safe at all times during the therapy process.
I have completed many, many thousands of regression sessions and am acknowledged internationally as an expert and specialist in past life regression. In my experience over three decades I have found that regression is the most powerful and effective therapy process that I know of. The satisfaction that I have had in helping my clients to let go of their issues and get their lives back, as a result of the healing power of past life regression has been immense. My book ‘The Power of Past Life Regression’ goes into more depth about the effectiveness of this therapy process.
Hypnosis – A Few Questions Answered
Hypnosis is a natural, day-dreamy state of mind. We daily enter this state quite naturally as we pass through the “twilight zone” – when going to sleep at night and when awakening again in the morning. We call the hypnotic state a ‘trance’.
It can be defined as an altered state of awareness. Daydreaming is another example of trance which we are all familiar with, as is driving a car on ‘automatic pilot.’
It is rather like being awake while sleeping, in that the mind and body are very comfortable and relaxed and yet you are aware of everything around you. It usually gives you a feeling of complete security, well-being, contentment, and relief from tension.
People respond to hypnosis in different ways. Some describe their experiences as an altered state of consciousness. Others describe hypnosis as a normal state of focused attention, in which they feel very calm and relaxed. Regardless of how and to what degree they respond, most people describe the experience as very pleasant.
Generally yes. Provided that someone is of sound mind and not under the influence of alcohol or drugs they can be hypnotised. You usually need to co-operate to allow it to happen so that the best results can be achieved.
Most people are very aware of everything that’s happening in the session, although some people become so deeply relaxed that they may lose awareness a little. Hypnosis is a totally natural state which we all enter at least 24 times a day (when we day-dream or drive a car on ‘automatic pilot’) and is not a sleep state. Most people are in a very relaxed state of wakefulness.
Provided that your Therapist is adequately trained and experienced there are no dangers or negative side-effects.
Very good when you consider that most Hypnotherapists are dealing with other practitioners’ failures and have to be successful to survive. All reputable practitioners have survived because of their success, often for many years. Although there can be no guarantee of success, as Hypnotherapy is usually a relatively fast process, if your treatment programme is not successful you’ll know very quickly and can cease the sessions without wasting a lot of time or money.
Your first session will usually consist of discussing your issues and being given information about what hypnosis is, followed by the opportunity to experience hypnosis. Often therapy will take place also in the session. At the end of the session you can decide if you would like to book another session (but you will be under no pressure to do so). Further sessions continue the process of working on your issues until they are resolved.
One of the most important things is that you feel comfortable and at ease with your Therapist. For this reason it is recommended that you book a single session first and then decide if you want to proceed with more. Some people require only a few sessions, whereas others may need a course of therapy. As a professional Therapist bound by a strict Code of Ethics I am committed to helping you as swiftly and effectively as possible. Anti-smoking therapy usually consists of one session.
